STREAM stands for:
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, READING, ENGINEERING, ARTS AND MATHEMATICS
STREAM has become very important in education.
By including STREAM subjects in education, young students are applying/practicing the principles that has been learned .By doing things we all learn a lot and especially from the mistakes. Learning by doing keeps kids exited and helps to engage them in the learning process.
Even in Suriname there is al lack of great scientist or engineers. If we had more of these people we could eventually create more products and services for the world which could help this country with economic growth.
To fill the science and technological needs of the society, it is necessary to get young children in touch with STREAM subject.
Here's why STREAM is important in schools
Arts and Reading is added STEM subjects. Arts involves a lot of creativity which is also needed for finding solutions. And reading is required for learning and communicating.
Countries are also compared to see if this works.
