Kids must be happy, successful and help us make this world a better place.
I believe that teaching should be, really from the bottom of the heart, helping someone to understand or achieve something.
It's important for teachers to know who their students are. Teachers must know about the status, knowledge and goals of their students.
The teachers must also have a lot of life experience, knowledge of the subject (didact..) and proper skills (peda..).
Teachers and students must be great friends. Students must feel comfortable to approach teacher with whatever question or complain. With this "friendship" teachers must have lots of one on one conversations with students and parents This is needed to beter understand students leaning progress and guiding.
Students are different and want to learn or try different things. So teachers have to continuously find ways to connect what's fun for students with what's required te learn.
For teachers en students to be successful the government must "widen the borders" and facilitate better. Policy must be changed has to reduce stress and to allow more space for fun and trial errors.
